Volunteer Requirements

When a person wants to be Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Inc. Volunteer, he/she will need to meet with staff to complete a volunteer training and some paperwork.  There are two volunteer categories:

 

1.  VolunteerA volunteer is any unpaid individual who performs tasks/duties in the classroom and/or in other capacities (including but not limited to time spent with own child at home visits, classroom planned events, parent meetings, policy council, Board, family follow-up time, etc.).  This person does not volunteer in the classroom setting on a routine and scheduled ongoing basis. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or older to volunteer unless pre-approved by the Executive Director. 

2. Regular Volunteer– A “regular” volunteer is a volunteer (as defined above) who wants to perform tasks/duties in the classroom on a routine and scheduled ongoing basis (excluding time spent with the volunteer’s own child at home visits, classroom planned events, family follow-up time, etc.).
